SUMMIT OVERVIEW
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the premier and apex body for business & industry in India, is organizing India's first Processed Foods Outsourcing summit to showcase India's readiness to become an Outsourcing Hub in this sector. This Summit - "Processed Foods – Advantage India '08: Positioning India as a Food Factory of the World" (An International Buyer Seller Meet of Indian Processed Foods) will be held on 17-18 July 2008 in New Delhi.

India today is well poised to cater to the exacting demands and varied tastes of international consumers and meeting global standards for manufacturing, testing, packaging and delivery of processed foods. Global trends indicate an easier acceptance of both Indian as well as International cuisine made in India. This is estimated to be a $ 5 Billion opportunity even in the short term. India is on its way to becoming the global hub for processed foods outsourcing with wealth of native knowledge and growing domestic demand contributing to the sector's growth.
